SIS Paris Ouest offers bilingual education within the French education system, with Anglophone and Germanophone sections. The school operates across three host establishments in Sèvres, Boulogne-Billancourt and Saint-Cloud and serves over 1,300 students from kindergarten through lycée. It was founded in 1960 and remains an international section under the aegis of the French Ministry of National Education, employing about sixty teachers from English- or German-speaking countries. The curriculum combines the French national framework with Cambridge Secondary and Cambridge IGCSE, and the integrated programme is designed for bilingual students with mother-tongue-level language skills. Two disciplines—literature and history-geography—are taught in English or German, and the programme provides six hours of literacy, geography, history and science instruction. A Wednesday School offers morning workshops in English and German, and after-school language activities for younger students. Extracurriculars include Debating Club, Model United Nations and Parliament Européen, theatre productions (The Play/Die Bühne) and fundraisers and exchanges.

Baccalauréat Français International (BFI) is the highest bilingual certification at the end of secondary education in France and serves as a passport to higher education in France and abroad; the BFI includes a bilingual pathway with British option. Cambridge Checkpoint tests are prepared in the core English program for 5e, assessed in Reading, Usage and Writing, and marked by Cambridge examiners. The IGCSE is studied in Troisième and Seconde as part of the English Language and Literature curriculum; it is optional and, from 2026-27, assessed by Oxford AQA; IGCSE results are presented as First Language and Literature, and are viewed as preparation for the BFI and international benchmarks. The school reports strong results, including 91% of 2025 BFI graduates earning mentions, with the first BFI cohort in German and British sections achieving excellent results in bilingual and trilingual pathways.
Graduates have a broad range of higher education options in France and abroad. More than one in three alumni from SIS Paris Ouest's international sections pursue studies abroad (Germany, Canada, Netherlands, UK, USA). Those remaining in France enter fields such as selective programs, preparatory classes for Grandes Écoles, and admissions to engineering schools, business schools, Sciences Po, and universities.
The school supports social and emotional development through a rich co-curricular life, with theatre, clubs, exchanges and trips led by teachers. Theatre builds students' confidence and self-esteem and develops collaboration and other soft skills. Debating Club, Model United Nations (MUN) and related activities further develop teamwork, eloquence and mediation skills.
The integrated program is designed for bilingual students and offers in-depth programs in English or German focusing on literature, languages, cultural values and the histories of Anglophone and Germanophone countries. As an International Section, two subjects are taught in English or German: literature and history-geography. Wednesday School and beginner language workshops (Active English & Der Deutschclub) provide additional English and German language opportunities.
Extracurricular life is rich and varied and not confined to the classroom. It provides opportunities for self-discovery and connection with others, with students developing their passions and curiosity through clubs, activities, exchanges and teacher-led trips.
Safer recruitment and child safeguarding policies are in place.
