Bannister Academy follows the subject offerings prescribed in the national curriculum set by the Department of Education (DepEd) for the K-12 Program. The school uses a classical education patterned after the Trivium (grammar, logic, rhetoric) with an emphasis on developing critical thinking. Latin is studied to enhance thinking and analytical skills. The K-12 Program runs from Preschool through Senior High School: Preschool (thematic, literacy and early numeracy), Primary School (Grade 1–4), Intermediate School (Grade 5–7), Junior High School (Grade 8–10), and Senior High School (Grade 11–12). Senior High offers the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme with courses in English A Literature SL/HL, Filipino A Literature SL/HL, English B SL/HL, Global Politics SL/HL, Philosophy SL/HL, Chemistry SL/HL, Physics SL/HL, Mathematics SL/HL, Visual Arts SL/HL; Core: Theory of Knowledge (TOK), Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS), Extended Essay (EE).
Small class sizes provide individualized attention.
1. Submit a properly filled-out application and medical forms.
2. Schedule entrance test with the Admissions Head. Testing schedules may vary.
3. Pay the non-refundable admission and testing fee of Php 1,500.00 at the Accounting Office during the scheduled entrance test date. Office hours are from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM on weekdays.
4. Present the Official Receipt on the scheduled entrance exam date to the Admissions Head.
5. Wait for the result for two to three days.
6. If the applicant passes, a call for the next steps is made. For preschool to grade 12, the parents will have an interview with the Headmaster; schedules may vary; coordinate with the Admissions Head. For grades 7 to 12, the applicant will interview with the High School Coordinator and answer the Study Attitudes and Methods Survey (SAMS).
7. Submit all the remaining admission requirements discussed with the Admissions Head.
8. Wait for the Acceptance Letter to be sent via email by the Admissions Head. General Requirements include Original Report Card with Learner's Reference Number (LRN); Original Certificate of Good Moral Character from adviser or guidance counselor; Original Birth Certificate (PSA); Accomplished application and medical information forms and immunization records; Two (2) copies of 2×2 colored pictures. Foreign Applicants follow the same admission procedure but with additional requirements: Alien Certificate of Registration Identification Card (original and clear copy); Special Study Permit (original and clear copy); Passport (original and clear copy) of the applicant and the applicant's parents; Note: Original Report Card or Transcript of Record with English translation. Applicants with Learning Support Requirements will be admitted on an equal basis provided they meet the school's admission criteria and that their needs can be met without unduly prejudicing the education and welfare of other students; the school assesses the suitability of the applicant to mainstream education and the availability of resources and facilities to meet that applicant's needs; each class may have 2 to 3 students with learning support needs depending on compatibility with the class, and accommodations may be given depending on the need.
