Ruamrudee International School - Early Years Campus

RISE is located at 146 Phrayasuren Road, Khlong Sam Wa, Bangkok, in the eastern suburbs near the Ramintra‑Kanchanapisek area. The site is in a quieter neighbourhood, with access via local roads and within driving distance to main transport routes.

RISE offers Playgroup (18 months), Pre‑K2, Pre‑K3, Pre‑K4, and Kindergarten (age 5). After Kindergarten, students typically continue from Grade 1 at the RIS Minburi campus.

The campus is co‑educational aged 1.5 to 5 years.

RISE follows the support framework of RIS, which offers a Special Education Program overseen by a Director of Student Services and includes psychological and learning assessments. Learning support is typically integrated into mainstream classrooms with involvement from counsellors and parents.

RIS was founded by the Redemptorist Fathers of Thailand and continues to include values and beliefs informed by its Catholic heritage. Religious education is inclusive and all students take values courses.

Ruamrudee International School – Early Years Campus (RISE) follows an American-style curriculum tailored for children aged 18 months to 5 years. The program incorporates the Reggio Emilia approach, emphasizing inquiry-based, experiential learning through themed units called "investigations." Core areas include early literacy, numeracy, social-emotional learning, science, and creative expression. Students also participate in specialist classes in Thai language, music, art, library, dance and drama, and values education. Kindergarten students build foundational skills to transition smoothly into Grade 1 at the RIS Minburi campus, which continues with the American curriculum and International Baccalaureate programmes from Grade 11 onwards. Classrooms are designed to support hands-on, play-based learning, with facilities including a central atelier (art studio), nature-inspired playgrounds, and STEAM resources.

The school emphasises cooperative play and creative group activities designed to support children as they reach social and emotional milestones naturally within daily routines. Staff routinely observe children to tailor interactions and ensure emotional needs are understood and met in group and individual contexts. The facilities, including indoor/outdoor classrooms and a sensory-focused playground, support reflection, empathy, and self-awareness through exploration and guided discovery.

RIS provides a Learning Support programme at all levels, including Pre‑K, overseen by a psychologist-led Student Services team. When learning difficulties in areas like literacy or numeracy arise, an Individual Education Plan (IEP) is established with input from teachers, parents, learning support staff, and a school psychologist. Support is delivered through push-in models and accommodations within mainstream classrooms. While not a specialist SEN school, RIS offers structured support for mild to moderate needs, including speech, learning, and behavioural challenges.

The school operates an English Language Development (ELD) programme, with specialists working with non-native speakers in small group or co‑teaching settings. Older students receive support through pull-out and in-class ELD sessions; secondary students may take IB English B support classes.

School counsellors and a school psychologist collaborate as part of a Student Study Team to support pupils’ emotional development. Counselling is offered at individual, small-group, and whole-class levels, and referrals are made when concerns arise. 1. Book a campus visit or attend an open morning.
Families are invited to explore the Early Years campus, observe classrooms, and meet staff. Visits can be scheduled directly through the admissions office.

2. Complete the application form and submit documentation.
Required documents include the child’s passport or ID, birth certificate, past school/daycare reports (if any), a photo, and the parents’ ID/passport. A non-refundable THB 5,000 application fee is payable at this stage.

3. Attend a student readiness session.
Applicants may be invited for an informal observation or assessment, typically based on play-based interaction with educators.

4. Receive the offer and secure enrollment.
Once accepted, parents must pay the THB 200,000 registration fee and a THB 50,000 refundable re-enrollment deposit. The admissions team will then provide onboarding and start-of-term information.

The Early Years Campus does not currently offer scholarships. Scholarships are available at the RIS Minburi campus beginning at the secondary level and are generally based on academic merit, leadership, or talent.
