RAK Academy - Al Hamra is a Pre-K to Grade 5 British Primary school located in Al Jazeera Al Hamra, Ras Al Khaimah. The campus is state-of-the-art and purpose-built. Discounts and special fee arrangements

- Full-payment discount: 5% discount on total tuition if the full year is paid by the Term 1 due date. 3% discount applies to amounts covering Term 2 and Term 3 if paid by the Term 2 due date.
- Sibling discounts: 3rd child 15% of tuition; 4th child 20%; 5th child or more 25%.
- Al Hamra Secondary special discounts: a 25% Loyalty Discount applies to students who were enrolled in any RAK Academy school during AY2025/26 and who continue into Al Hamra Secondary (Grades 6–8); a 20% New Joiner Discount applies to students who are new to RAK Academy and enroll in Al Hamra Secondary for AY2026/27. These discounts are applied against the DOK-approved annual fee and may be applied for the lifetime of continuous enrolment.

Billing schedule and payment terms

- Parents/guardians receive a personalized invoice before each term. Tuition is invoiced termly. Due date: payment is required at least two (2) weeks before the start of each term. Failure to pay Term 1 fees by the due date may result in denial of classroom access, withholding of reports/references/exam results, or the loss of the student's place.
- Tuition must be paid by the due date; the school may offer discounts, payment plans, or scholarships subject to internal approval. Late or unpaid fees have the consequences described above.

Exclusions and additional charges

- Examination fees (external examinations such as IGCSE, A-levels, IB) are not included in tuition and are billed separately for Grades 10–12 according to the qualifications selected. Parents receive personalized invoices for these exam charges.
- Uniform: all students must wear the school uniform; uniform purchases are made through the school-approved uniform provider and are paid separately by parents.
- Other optional services are charged separately by external providers: bus transport (external operator), canteen (canteen operator subscription), and external paid clubs/activities.

Boarding fees (if applicable)

Refunds and withdrawal deductions

- Application fees are non-refundable if a place is offered and the parent chooses not to accept it. Registration fees are refundable only if a written withdrawal is submitted to Admissions at least two weeks before the start of the new academic year; refunds for registration fees may be considered in extenuating circumstances (for example relocation) with supporting documentation.
- Tuition refund deductions (applied per term based on the withdrawal request date):
- If the student was enrolled for two weeks or less: one month's fees will be deducted.
- If enrolled between two weeks and one month: two months' fees will be deducted.
- If enrolled for over one month: the full-term fees will be deducted.
- Any advance payment discounts received will be deducted from the refundable amount.
- Refund processing takes a minimum of 22 working days from receipt of a complete signed withdrawal form with required documents; bank charges apply to refunds.

Admissions

Admissions

RAK Academy Al Hamra accepts students from Pre-K to Grade 5 (British Primary). The admission process for joining RAK Academy is designed to be straightforward and involves three steps. 1) Application: Submit an online application to the Admissions Office along with the required documents. An AED 500 application fee applies. Prepare to provide documents including the child's birth certificate, passport, residence visa and Emirates ID, sponsors' passports and Emirates IDs, recent medical/vaccination records, most recent school reports, any diagnostic testing or educational assessments if applicable, any psychological assessments if applicable, and the family book (UAE only). 2) Documentation: Submit the documents to the Admissions Office. A placement assessment and the next steps will proceed once all items have been received. 3) Assessment: The Admissions team reviews the application and documents; if places are available, you will receive an invitation to submit further information and/or schedule an assessment. If the assessment is successful and a place is available, an offer is sent by email within 48 hours. To secure the place, a deposit must be paid within 7 days along with a signed offer letter. Seats cannot be held without receipt of the deposit.

Scholarships

RAK Academy Scholarships are available for the Academic Year 2026–2027, with up to 100% scholarships for students entering Grades 4 to 12. All scholarships are renewable annually and continue until Grade 12, subject to meeting the required academic standards. Emirati Scholarship is available to UAE nationals (Grades 4–12). Academic Excellence Scholarship is open to all students (Grades 4–12). Talent & Sports Scholarship is open to all students (Grades 4–12). IB DP Scholarship is open to all students (Grades 11–12). Qualifications to apply include that students from all nationalities can apply and that students can be currently enrolled at RAK Academy or at another school. Scholarship applications require completing the online scholarship application form and scheduling the assessment; the scholarship committee conducts candidate screening and interviews to determine eligibility. Criteria for ongoing eligibility include: for Grades 4–8, minimum of Grade 5 in English, Mathematics, and Science; for GCSE, minimum Grade 4 in English, Mathematics, and Science; for A Level, minimum Grade B in all subjects; for IB Diploma, minimum Grade 5 in all subjects. CAT4 is used as a diagnostic assessment to inform learning potential during the scholarship process.
